Life is busy and this course will help you find ways to add these skills into your life without taking up all your time.
Learning how much to share, when to share, and who to share your story with can be tricky. This course will cover how to safely, and appropriately, share information about your mental health. This is a two-part (2 X 2 hours) online course offered via Zoom. It is run by two trained facilitators, one of whom has lived experience.
This workshop is a brief orientation into what stigma looks like from various perspectives, the impacts of stigma on those with mental illness, and how participants can support the de-stigmatization of mental illness and move towards a recovery-oriented mindset to support those they know who are experiencing mental illness.
Anxiety is a normal reaction to uncertainty during challenging times. However, too much anxiety can take a toll on our daily lives and overall well-being. In this course, you will learn a variety of tools to recognize and react to important warning signs and confront your discomfort in a positive and healthy way.
Being a parent, grandparent, or caregiver isn’t without its challenges, or its rewards. And let’s face it, caring for our children is one of the most important jobs there is!
Caring for ourselves while taking care of those we love and support can be tough, but mastering self-care can be a “game changer” for us as caregivers and can be extremely beneficial to those we care for.
Join us in in a safe, and confidential peer setting, where you can share your experiences and explore practical tools and resources to support you in your “caregiving journey”.
This course has been developed based on the needs and challenges identified by community partners and individual community members, and is geared towards supporting the needs of parents, grandparents, and caregivers of children ages 5-10 (not exclusively).
Growing up is hard to do! This online course (delivered via Zoom) will be offered over 5 weeks (5 X 1-hour sessions). This will be a safe place to learn about things like relationships, money management, self-care, and other aspects of being a happy, healthy adult. This course is aimed at 16-24 years old and is run by two trained facilitators, one of whom has lived experience with a mental illness or substance use disorder.
